HONG KONG (AFP) Apr 04, 2005
Hong Kong's death toll from December's Indian Ocean tsunami disaster has risen to 21 after one more fatality was confirmed, the government said Monday.

Authorities in Thailand have confirmed the death of one of those reported missing in the December 26 tragedy, it said in a statement.

The government also said 19 other Hong Kong people who were in Thailand when the waves struck still remain unaccounted for.

More then 273,000 people were killed in 12 countries and hundreds of thousands of others were left homeless by the deadly waves, which were sparked by a huge undersea earthquake off the west coast of Indonesia.
