Powerful winds delay French high-speed train
MARSEILLE, France (AFP) Nov 13, 2004
Strong winds disrupted high-speed train service in southern France Saturday causing delays of up to 90 minutes, the national rail network, SNCF, said on its website.

TGV high-speed trains which use a number of bridges in the area were rerouted to ordinary tracks as a precaution after Mistral winds gusted up to 140 kilometers per hour (87 mph). Delays were expected to continue until Sunday.

TGVs to and from Nimes, Montpellier, Perpignan, Marseille, Toulon and the Riviera resort of Nice were affected.
