Tomoaki Yoshino, 24, and two others entered an off-limits area earlier in the day to shoot a video, said a police spokesman in Iwate, 450 kilometers (280 miles) north of Tokyo.

Yoshino died at a nearby hospital after being rescued by ski patrols while the two others were unhurt, the police spokesman said.
