Germany finances Bosnian energy sector Germany will help Bosnia to develop its energy sector and improve environmental standards with financing worth 53.5 million euros (74.9 million dollars), the government said Thursday. Under a deal signed in Sarajevo the financing will comprise 22.5 million euros in grants, as well as favorable loans totalling 31 million euros from state-owned German bank KfW, a finance ministry statement said. The funding is to be allocated towards the building of Bosnia's first wind farm, improvements in waste water disposal and upgrading hydro-power plants and the country's power distribution network.
