Germany will help Bosnia to develop its energy sector and improve environmental standards with financing worth 53.5 million euros (74.9 million dollars), the government said Thursday. Under a deal signed in Sarajevo the financing will comprise 22.5 million euros in grants, as well as favorable loans totalling 31 million euros from state-owned German bank KfW, a finance ministry statement said. The funding is to be allocated towards the building of Bosnia's first wind farm, improvements in waste water disposal and upgrading hydro-power plants and the country's power distribution network.
