The announcements were made by RediStat President, Michael Hemlepp, at the Florida Governors Hurricane Conference being held in Ft. Lauderdale.

RediStat is a Comprehensive Emergency Management Planning (CEMP) company specializing in healthcare, including hospitals, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Working with RediStat, we were able to define a specialized AEN application for the healthcare industry, said Bryan Norcross, and being stationed in South Florida over the years, Max and I know firsthand the disruption and destruction that severe weather and other disasters can inflict.

ALERT FM, a service of Global Security Systems (GSS), allows authorized emergency management officials to send severe weather and other warnings to specific groups of first responders, businesses and citizens. The system is FM radio-based, so information can be distributed to a large number of recipients in just seconds using special receivers, operating independently of vulnerable land and cellular phone towers.

ALERT FM technology will be utilized by RediStat as a mass notification system, so healthcare facility administrators can immediately inform an unlimited number of personnel and family members anywhere in the world, via user-selected devices, before, during or after an emergency.
