A 10-year-old child was killed Saturday when a torrential downpour caused 14 homes to collapse in the northeastern Senegalese village of Matam, state radio reported.Heavy rainfall damaged two bridges, completely cutting off traffic on a road leading to the capital. Two other bridges were also threatened.
