Quake jolts central Japan

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted central Japan early Sunday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

The quake occurred around 7:00 am (2200 GMT), with its focus located 30 kilometers (20 miles) below sea-level near Chiba, just east of Tokyo.
