Tremors rattle northeastern Ethiopia
ADDIS ABABA (AFP) Dec 24, 2003
Earth tremors have shaken two towns in northeastern Ethiopia about 15 times since the weekend, seismologists said on Wednesday.

The tremors, measuring 3.8 to 4 on the Richter scale, shook the towns of Melka Woerer and Melka Sedishoumen, about 600 kilometres (370 miles) northeast of the capital, Addis Ababa on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

The earthquakes did not cause any causalties or damage, a seismologist at the University of Addis Ababa said.
