An undersea earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter Scale was recorded at dawn Thursday off the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica near the Panamanian border, Costa Rica's Seismological and Vulcanological Observatory reported.It said the epicenter of the quake was about seven kilometers (4 miles) off the western port of Puerto Armuelles.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
