A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 degrees on the Richter scale shook northern Chile early Friday, causing power outages but no immediate reports of injuries or damage, the National Emergency Office said.The temblor stuck at 0501 GMT and lasted about 20 seconds, the office said.
Power went out in nearly all cities and mining centers in northern Chile, officials said.
