Quake in Indonesia's Papua province kills 22: report

Twenty-two people died in an earthquake that struck Indonesia's Papua province early Friday, the state news agency Antara said, quoting police.

The victims included a policeman on duty at the local parliament building in the northwestern town of Nabire, Antara quoted Papua's deputy provincial police chief, Brigadier General Tony Yakobus, as saying.

Police could not immediately be reached for confirmation.
