Tremor sparks evacuations of tall buildings in Kenyan capital
NAIROBI (AFP) Dec 05, 2005
Workers evacuated tall buildings in Nairobi on Monday afternoon after a brief tremor rocked the city.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or serious damage.

"I was sitting at my desk when I started feeling dizzy," said an AFP journalist who was in the news agency's office.

"The tremor lasted about 15 seconds, then we decided to leave the building," he added.

Most other employers of the building also evacuated, although there was no sense of panic.

The private Nation radio reported tremors had also affected other buildings.
