![]() COPENHAGEN (AFP) Dec 06, 2005 Nearly one year after being ravaged by the Indian Ocean tsunani, the Thai island of Pukhet is attracting a boom in tourism from Denmark, the country's principal tour operator, MyTravel, said Tuesday. Both it and the second operator, Star Tour, said tourism is sharply up for the current season ending in May. "Of course people have not forgotten (the tsunami), because Danes died in the catastrophe," said Jan Vendelbo, head of sales at MyTravel. "But life goes on, and clients go back not only because they like it, but also to aid the inhabitants." All rights reserved. 2005 Agence France-Presse.
