14th body found in ice rink accident in Germany
BAD REICHENHALL, Germany (AFP) Jan 04, 2006
Police said Wednesday they had found the body of a young girl in the wreckage of a collapsed ice rink in this southern German town, raising the death toll to 14, and were still searching for a missing woman.

Hubertus Andrae, the police chief of nearby Traunstein, contradicted an earlier report from N24 rolling news channel that the latest body found was that of the woman.

"We have found a 14th victim... this young girl. We have not found the woman yet, we are still looking," said Andrae, who has held out little hope that there would any survivors.

He earlier told reporters that there was "no sign of life" from below the rubble of the collapsed roof at the rink.

Earlier on Wednesday rescuers found the bodies of two boys, the police chief confirmed. The final death toll is expected to be 15.

About 200 rescuers were still working at the site where the roof of the 1970s-era rink caved in Monday under the weight of snow, killing mostly children.

The tragedy has raised questions about safety checks in buildings in Germany.
