2G scam case: Delhi High Court stays Chandolia's bail

New Delhi (IANS) Dec 2, 2011



The Delhi High Court Friday stayed the bail granted by a CBI special court a day ago to former telecom minister A. Raja's ex-private secretary R.K. Chandolia, one of the 14 accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case.

Justice V.K. Shali, taking suo motu cognisance of the bail order, said: 'In case R.K. Chandolia has not been released on bail, there shall be a stay against the operation of the bail order passed by the special judge till the next date of hearing.'

'The matter shall be listed before this court after being numbered as 'court on it's own motion' on Dec 7,' he added.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Judge O.P. Saini Thursday granted bail to Chandolia, directing him to furnish a personal bond of Rs.3 lakh with two sureties of like amount.
