AGI Launches New Software Solution For Tracking System Designers

Las Vegas - Oct 22, 2003
AGI is offering a commercial off-the- shelf (COTS) software solution that supports orbit determination for tracking systems - STK/Orbit Determination (STK/OD). The tool, which is positioned as the newest addition to AGI's suite of aerospace analysis and visualization software premiered at the International Telemetry Conference.

"Program managers grapple with basic questions such as how well they know the exact orbit of their spacecraft; how many ground stations they need to meet the accuracy requirements of their missions; or how procedural errors could impact a mission," says Kevin Flood, director of product management for AGI.

"STK/OD helps professionals discover, understand, and optimize those answers better than ever before. Furthermore, STK/OD complements the rest of the STK software suite and can be extended to applications such as missile defense or space control."

STK/OD's analytical engine combines three powerful programs to provide the required solutions: a tracking data simulator, state-of-the-art optimal sequential filter, and matched optimal sequential smoother.
