Princeton - Dec 04, 2003 Americom Government Services, has been awarded a contract with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) through AGS' federal GSA schedule. AGS' solution for the FBI will include leased satellite capacity for a data communications network, which connects the agency's numerous sites across all 50 states and Puerto Rico. "Having served the government market for 30 years, we recognize that the GSA schedule is an ideal avenue for procuring business," said AGS President and CEO David Helfgott. "With our GSA schedule in place, AGS can meet the growing and urgent needs of our government customers like the FBI more effectively, and with greater flexibility." AGS' GSA schedule allows federal agencies to purchase satellite capacity on select spacecraft and up/down link services. The schedule also includes expert and regulatory support related to AGS SATCOM solutions, as well as the necessary engineering and consulting services such as network development and project implementation.
