
The agreements were formalized at the NIHONBASHI SPACE WEEK 2025 event in Japan. Genevieve Edna Apaloo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to Japan, participated in the signing ceremony. GSSTI operates under Ghana's Atomic Energy Commissions within the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, focusing on applying space science and technology to national development. RCMRD, based in Kenya, provides geo-information and allied technologies across contracting African nations for sustainable progress.
Axelspace will deliver EO data and its practical expertise for applications in agriculture, environmental and forest conservation, disaster management, climate response, and infrastructure planning. Collaborating with the two African organizations, Axelspace will facilitate local EO data utilization frameworks and support local companies. The partnerships are designed to identify regional issues and implement EO data-driven solutions tailored to local contexts, fostering new markets for satellite data use.
