King Charles III to unveil 'harmony' vision of nature in new film
London, Oct 8 (AFP) Oct 08, 2025
Britain's King Charles III said Wednesday he hopes to throw a spotlight on his lifelong work to protect the planet in a new documentary to air worldwide next year.

"Nature is our sustainer -- we are a part of nature. Therefore, what we do to her, we do to ourselves," he said in a statement.

"For much of my life I have sought to promote and encourage ways we can work with, rather than against nature. In other words, to restore balance to our planet which is under such stress."

The project, entitled "Finding Harmony: A King's Vision", is being carried out in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, and set to launch around the world on Prime Video in early 2026.

Charles said he hoped it would highlight work being done to save the planet "from the forests of Guyana to sustainable communities in India".

It will also look at his charity the King's Foundation and its work at Dumfries House, Scotland, focusing on community regeneration, sustainable textiles and traditional skills, as well as the head of state's home at Highgrove House in Gloucester, where some of the documentary was filmed.

It will seek to explain his "harmony philosophy" which he set out in a 2010 book, and "perhaps inspire the same sense of determination it has given me to help build a more sustainable future".

The film's director Nicolas Brown said the story was one of "hope and resilience".

Last year, Amazon produced the series "A Very Royal Scandal", a dramatisation of an infamous television interview given by the king's brother Prince Andrew about his relationship to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In 2022, Amazon Prime's streaming rival Netflix aired its six-hour docuseries "Harry & Meghan", in which the King's youngest son Prince Harry and his wife voiced their grievances with the royal family and the British media.
